TO MY DEAR DISTANT FRIEND

It’s a real pleasure to receive a letter
From the site so distant from my native place.
Letters are amazing, but, of course, it’s better
To have a talk between us meeting face to face.

Still there is enchanting and amusing feeling,
When I see the letter written by your hand.
In the cold Cosmos our Earth is reeling,
But it’s nice and warming just to make a friend.
