Progressive psychedelic art rock. The instrumental part combines a meditative atmosphere with blues motifs, featuring a leisurely tempo of 68–72 beats per minute and a hypnotic 12/8 or 3/4 time signature. The key is G minor with active use of the Dorian mode. The composition opens with an ambient introduction. A “glass harp” (water-filled glasses) sound and floating synthesizer pads can be heard. Over them, a keyboard enters, creating a sense of cosmic space and melancholy. An arpeggiated electric guitar comes in, followed by a pulsing Hammond organ. Then an emotional, crying guitar solo with delay appears, rich in string bends and vibrato. The bass guitar sets the rhythm, while the clavinet and Fender Rhodes piano add harmonic depth. String synthesizers ARP and Minimoog are added. The drums play slowly and sparsely, emphasizing the cymbals. The tempo and key remain, but the melody is picked up by a jazz saxophone.
